Course Overview

Medical Imaging is a critical component in disease diagnosis, encompassing a variety of modalities such as conventional X-ray, CT (Computed Tomography), ultrasound, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), and PET (Positron Emission Tomography). This course provides an in-depth exploration of the physical foundations, operational principles, and clinical applications associated with each imaging technique.

It is tailored to meet the educational needs of those studying Medical Imaging Technology, Radiology, Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and General Practice, while also welcoming individuals with a non-professional interest in Medical Imaging. A basic medical knowledge of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry is required prior to studying surgery.
