Material is a broad term for a chemical substance or mixture of substances that constitute a thing. Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. Engineering can be defined as the application of scientific and mathematical principles to practical ends such as the design, manufacture, and operation of efficient and economical structures, machines, processes, and systems. This course will cover all basic knowledge of materials science and engineering. We introduce key concepts involved in materials science to cover general aspects and applications of metallic, polymeric and inorganic materials.
