课程概述
《综合英语》课程的重点是夯实学生专业基础、优化学生知识结构、提高学生语言综合运用能力。难点是对其自主学习能力、创新思维能力、就业能力以及个性、人文素养和科学精神进行训练和培养。
语言综合运用能力的形成建立在学生语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识等素养综合发展的基础之上。我们在教学中注重学生语言技能的全面发展，突出语言的交际运用；同时合理调整学生知识结构，加大文化背景知识的介绍，努力处理好专业业务素质教育和文化背景教育的关系。
在发展学生自主学习能力之外，我们注重开发学生思维能力，激励学生大胆创新。在教学中认真践行“学生本位”、“素质本位”的思想，坚持以学生为中心。一方面注重教学内容的多样性、系统性、科学性以及时代性和人文性，另一方面充分利用现代信息化教学手段，将启发式、讨论式、体验式、探究式、合作式等现代教学理念应用于教学实践中，把握好知识与技能、学习与创新、应用与能力之间的关系。
授课目标
《综合英语》是一门以培养学习者的语言基本技能、跨文化交际能力与批判性思维能力为总目标的综合性英语课程。课程的主要目的是全面提高学生英语语言综合运用能力。主要任务是传授系统的基础语言知识，训练学生听说读写译基本语言技能，提升文化意识和跨文化交际能力，并增强独立思考、发现与解决问题等自主学习能力和思辨能力。
