“Soilless cultivation” is an elective course of agricultural majors in agricultural university. The main content of this course including following several aspects: the concept, type, characteristics, development history and application scope of soilless culture, The physicochemical properties, selection principles and application of soilless culture solid matrix , the concept, components and management technology of nutrient solution. And the structure, characteristics and application scope of the main soilless culture facilities. Also it introduces soilless cultivation management technology of major vegetable crops. Students can gain a lot from this course. First, students understand the meaning of soilless culture. The second, students systematically mastered the facilities of soilless culture and technical theory and operational technology of soilless culture of main vegetable crops. The third, students are trained to have the ability to independently guide the soilless culture and production of vegetable crops, and the course strengthens their ability to master agricultural high and new technology and use it effectively in agricultural production, It plays an important role in the cultivation of talents in the field of facility agriculture.
