视频学习辅助本课程教学内容介绍思辨与交流相关理论、方法及技巧，采用讲解、举例示范、课外操练相结合的形式，帮助学生加深对英语思辨与有效交流的理解，掌握基本技能，提高实际操作能力，在讲授相关知识与技能的同时，辅以练习、任务、讨论、测试等环节，以促进学生自主学习，拓宽知识面，提高对国内外大事的敏感度，提高其严谨的科学意识，增强逻辑思维能力，并进一步提高英语听力及口头表达能力。
课程将体现“自主学习”+“讨论答疑”+“扩展训练”的教学改革：课程视频着重介绍思辨与交流相关理论知识；答疑区根据学生反馈，解决每单元重点、难点，并根据课后习题评估学生对知识点的掌握情况；通过讨论区的互动，教师可针对具有普遍性的问题着重强调，进一步给予指导，引导学生提高思辨及表达能力；通过课程提供的辅助材料，学生可以进行扩展学习；鼓励学生通过参加英语演讲、辩论、模联等赛事得到锻炼，获得更多实践经验。
课程评价采用教师参与+学生互评、正向激励为主的评价体系：期末结课测试为主观题，综合评估课程学习成果。
