课程概述
综合英语课程为英语类专业基础课程、专业核心课程,主要面向英语专业、翻译专业本科生开设,也为有一定英语基础的英语爱好者提供学习英语语言文化的平台。课程以语言与文化为核心内容,将语言知识学习与语篇结构分析蕴涵于人文知识学习与思维能力中,通过解读与语言文化相关的学术型语篇,帮助学习者了解英语学术型语篇的表达方式和特点,扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型,引导学习者对语言和文化的本质、功能、变异、使用、学习以及跨语言跨文化交际中的价值观、多元文化等一系列主题进行较深入和系统的思考。
课程将语言学习融入对语言、文化、语言与文化的关系三个模块的创意思考中,在识别、阐释、推理、评价、分析、解释、应用和创造过程中运用语言知识,夯实学习者语言基本功,提升语言能力,了解学科知识,逐步提升人文素养,形成思辨能力、跨文化能力和自主学习能力,为进一步学习打下扎实的语言、文化和思维与习惯基础。
在课程教学实践中,参考“产出导向法”(文秋芳,2015)设计教学环节,以“学习中心说”、“学用一体说”和“全人教育说”为教学理念,以“输出驱动”、“输入促成”和“选择性学习”为教学假设,从“驱动”、“促成”和“评价”三个环节设计教学,发挥教师在教学各个环节中的中介作用。采用网络教学空间线上学习与线下课堂互相补充的方式,以单元话题为单位组织教学流程,通常为:导入及热身练习(第1学时)——课文解析及话题探究(第2-6学时)——小组拓展性阅读反思汇报评价(第7、8学时)。整个教学流程形成“驱动”——“促成”——“评价”的有机整体,学生在实施任务的学习活动中,逐渐夯实语言基本功、提升语言能力,发展应用、评价、创造等高层级思维方法。
授课目标
1.掌握英语语音、词汇、语法、功能和话题知识,锻炼和提升听、说、读、写、译语言技能,夯实英语语言基础,初步了解英语学科相关知识、厘清英语学科知识体系。
2.了解英语学科的工具性和人文性,能够区分事实与看法、辨别字面与隐含之义;找到与题旨相关的细节,基于细节推理,准确而全面地理解文本观点和逻辑。
3.养成从学生学习、课程教学、学科理解等不同角度进行反思的习惯,对作品中涉及的语言和文化领域的经典问题进行批判性分析,创造性运用文本内容,逐步提高思辨能力。
4.具备文化知识、文化理解、跨文化意识和能力,初步形成探索和发掘语言学和跨文化研究领域丰富资源、解决学科问题的自觉意识。学会运用背景知识综合解读作品、将来自作品的认识和体验与现实世界连接;从不同视角看待世界多元文化,反思中国文化传统,逐渐形成文化自觉和跨文化人格。
