Arts Appreciation is a systematic course combining individual art works with art theories. It pays great attention to the popularization of general knowledge and the emphasis and links between important knowledge points. The course takes the development and change of Chinese and Western art history and aesthetic thought as the vertical line, takes the art form of different categories as the horizontal line. It presents a systematic teaching course, covering painting, sculpture and many other categories through combining the art works with art theories.
In order to better fulfill the objectives of the curriculum, exploring the ideologies and science of different eras the course is structured chronologically taking into account to the frontier dynamics of the subject and the needs of social development.
The construction of this course adheres to the general principle of cultivating virtue, takes the form of student-centered learning, and is committed to releasing students' inner potential and learning motivation.
