Why can Chinese traditional furniture be estimated so expensive? Why has it attracted attentions all over the world? Why do people marvel at Ming and Qing Furniture? Why are many collectors keen on traditional furniture? Everyone needs to understand the development of Chinese traditional furniture, cultural background and the achievements accumulated over thousands of years. 

In this course, we start from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties to the Ming, Qing Dynasties and then come to our People's Republic of China, narrativing not only furniture, but also history, culture and aesthetics. We appreciate the past dynasties premier furniture and tell the story behind these fine works. Through the study of this course, learners can systematically understand the development of Chinese traditional furniture, the characteristics of furniture in different dynasties, and deeply understand the essence of Chinese traditional furniture.
