课程概述

本课程是面向各专业学生开始的一门通识文化素养课。本课程用英语分门别类地讲解中国文化中具有代表性的故事。通过学习这些故事，学生学会如何用英语讲中国故事，传播中国文化。通过解析这些故事，探讨文化表象背后的价值体系，思维方式及人文精神。并探索中国文化的继承和创新，如何以理性的态度和务实的精神正确认识和传播中国传统文化。

授课目标

通过课程学习，使学生具备以下知识目标（1-2）、能力目标（3）和价值目标（4）：

1. 学习中国故事的英文表述语言、方法（语言角度）

2. 学习、理解中国故事蕴含的文化知识（文化角度）

3．提高英语语言运用能力，特别是运用英语讲中国故事的能力

4．探究故事蕴含的价值观和人文精神，建立中国文化自信和文化认同

课时目标：1. 知识目标：To learn the English expressions and narration of retelling Chinese Myths； 2. 能力目标：To be able to retell classic Chinese Myths in English; To be able to analyze mythic themes in different cultures； 3. 价值目标：通过与西方同类神话的对比，更深刻认识到中国神话的精神密码：天人合一（创世神话）、人定胜天（洪水神话）
