"Mining science" is a core main compulsory course of mining engineering major and safety engineering major.
This course mainly deals with the basic principles and main methods of mining solid deposits, including underground mining and open-pit mining of coal, as well as underground mining of non-coal solid minerals. The main contents include: mining method, preparation method, development method, basic principle and main method of mining design of modern mine, mining technology, process system, main mining and transportation equipment, mining procedure and transportation system of modern open-pit coal mine, development of non-coal solid deposit, mining technology and main mining method, as well as mining front technology, etc.
Through the study of this course, students can master the basic concepts, basic methods and main technologies of modern mining, and then systematically understand and master the mining production system, production links, mining technology and equipment. Students can understand the development status of China and the world mining industry, mining technology frontier and development trend. Then they have the ability to engage in mining design, construction and production organization, the ability to use the knowledge learned to solve complex problems in mining.
1. To enable students to understand the basic principles of mining, master the basic concepts, basic methods and main technologies of modern mining, also have a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the mining production system, production links, mining technology and equipment, and understand the development status, cutting-edge mining technology and development trend of the mining industry at home and abroad.
2. Make students master mining technology, mining area (panel area or belt area) and mine development and other mine design methods.
3. To enable students to master the economic decision-making method of mine engineering, and to comprehensively consider the social, economic, safety, legal, environmental, social sustainable development and other factors in the scheme comparison and selection, and make the right choice.
4. Train the students to use the basic theory and mining professional knowledge to analyze and solve the mine production technology problems.
5. Develop the ability of students to collect data and information, summarize and analyze, write small papers or research reports and correctly express the contents of the reports.
6. Cultivate the sense of team work and the ability of organization and coordination.
