《英汉互译方法与技巧》的特点是：注重分析、强调实践；英译汉和汉译英并重；语言内涵和文化内涵并重。
课程采用的翻译实例全部来源于主讲教师多年来翻译的文学作品、学术著作、以及社科、法律、科技、医药、政府文件等材料，这些实例经过全面细致的分析，展现了翻译的过程和翻译技巧的综合、灵活运用，有效帮助学生掌握英汉互译方法与技巧。
课程在注重语言的理解和表达的同时，强调翻译中的文化意识以及对源语文化和译入语文化的理解在翻译中的重要作用。
成绩 要求
一、参与
1. 学生必须参加SPOC论坛讨论和课堂讨论
2.SPOC论坛回复数量（指答复课后讨论题数量）达到30以上可得满分，达到27可得90%，达到24可得80%，依此类推。
二、作业
按时完成SPOC作业，发至教师邮箱。
