四川大学华西第二医院是全国首批“三级甲等”妇女儿童专科医院，是集医疗、教学、科研、预防保健和高级专业人才培养为一体的大学附属医院。妇产科是国家重点学科，妇科和产科均为国家临床重点专科建设项目。经过几代人的努力，现已成为西部重要的妇产科医疗中心，在近年的学科排名中妇产科持续位于全国前列水平。

West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University is a top tertiary hospital specialized for women and children. Affiliated to Sichuan University, it features an integration of medical services, teaching, scientific research, preventive health care and talents training. Obstetrics and Gynecology is a national key discipline, and both obstetrics and gynecology are national key construction projects for clinical specialties. After several generations’ unremitting efforts, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has grown into an important medical center in West China and ranked high over the past 5 years in the country.

“妇产科学”是临床医学的核心课程，是专门研究女性特有的生理、病理以及生育调控的学科，由产科学、妇科学、女性生殖内分泌学三个亚专业组成。妇产科学不仅是临床医学，同时也是预防医学，她不仅见证了新生命的诞生，为女性一生的健康保驾护航，也关系到人类的整体健康。

"Obstetrics and Gynecology" is a core course of clinical medicine, focusing on the study of women-specific physiology, pathology and fertility regulation. Consisting of obstetrics, gynecology and female reproductive endocrinology, it goes beyond clinical medicine to preventive medicine. While witnessing the creation of new life and protecting women from various kinds of diseases in their lifetime, it also plays a vital role in improving the overall health of mankind.

我院《妇产科学》具有15年的全英语授课基础，覆盖来自29个国家的生源，并荣获教育部来华留学英语授课品牌课程。本课程由妇产科16位具有丰富临床教学经验的全国知名专家及中青年教师担任讲授，采用多元化的教学方法及珍贵的临床教学资源，生动形象地讲授理论基础和临床知识，帮助学生获得本专业的核心知识及临床思辨能力。本课程建设的目标为充分利用华西医学的教学和临床优势，为全面提升学生的医学岗位胜任能力奠定坚实的基础。

“Gynecology and Obstetrics” has been taught in English for 15 years in our hospital, benefiting students from 29 countries and awarded by the Ministry of Education “The Brand Course in English for Overseas Students”. The teaching team of this course consists of 16 nationally famous experts and young teachers who have rich experience in both clinical practice and teaching. Taking diversified approaches and making the best use of valuable clinical teaching resources, they teach both theory and practice in a vivid way, endeavoring to help students acquire core professional knowledge and critical thinking capacity. The goal of this course is to lay a solid foundation for building students’ capacity as medical professionals by making full use of the teaching and clinical advantages of West China Medical Center.
