The course focuses on the concepts and test methods of metal’s weldability, to help students to learn about the weldability and performance during welding of steels and non-ferrous materials, to be professional both in welding engineering and research. This course is to improve students' reading, writing and communicating skills of professional science and technology materials in English with the background of professional theoretical knowledge.

Students will master the ability to evaluate material weldability, properly select process and parameters, etc., understand the development and trends of material forming and control engineering, and master the latest design theories and advanced forming techniques in this field. To be professional in in engineering experiment design and analysis, good at management and teamwork skills, correct in understanding the impact of material shaping and control projects on the objective world and society. Broad international eyesight and sensitivity of development, innovativeness will be gained then.
